Using the Weekly Practice Sheet:
This free pdf can be printed and hole-punched. Pages can be collected and filled in with check marks or stickers to make a practice journal. Things to notice about this sheet are that you can decide a short amount of time to work on a particular goal. Whether it's 1 minute, or 5, or 15, your student can plan and track working on right hand (RH) and left hand (LH) goals for their different pieces of music.
Using the Violin & Cello Book 1 Cards:
These free pdf's are best used alongside Suzuki Book 1. They can be printed out, cut into cards, and hole-punched to go on a split ring. The front will say the name of a song; the back will be blank for your student to write words or draw a picture with something they think of when they hear or play this piece of music. Cards can be drawn from a pile to randomly select pieces to review and play on one's instrument; or, cards can be turned over and familiarly identified while listening to a recording.
Enjoy these free resources to help make more music out of any practice minute!
